Itinerary (12-19 Aug 2026)
DAY 1: Journey to Pithoragarh
• Activity: Depart Meerut early for a long drive (approx. 450-500 km) to Pithoragarh, known as “Little Kashmir”.
• Exploration: If time permits, visit Pithoragarh Fort or the Chandak Hills for a panoramic view ofthe Soar Valley.
• Stay: Overnight in Pithoragarh.
DAY 2: En route to Kuti via Byans Valley
• Activity: Drive from Pithoragarh to Dharchula (approx. 3-4 hours) to complete mandatory Inner Line Permit (ILP) formalities.
• Continue the drive toward the Byans Valley.
• Exploration: Pass through the scenic Chialekh Meadows and Gunji village.
• Reach Kuti, a village steeped in Mahabharata legend.
• Stay: Heritage homestay in Kuti.
DAY 3: Pilgrimage to Adi Kailash
• Activity: A 14-15 km drive/trek from Adi Kailash Exploration from Kuti
• Kuti to Jolingkong, the base for Adi Kailash.
• Exploration: Visit Parvati Sarovar and Gauri Kund.
• Witness the reflection of Adi Kailash in the sacred lake and see Bheem ki Kheti (fields believed to be tilled by Bhima).
• Stay: Return to Kuti or stay at fiber huts in Jolingkong.
DAY 4: Kuti to Om Parvat then to Dantu
• Activity: Travel from Kuti back toward Gunji and then head to Nabhidhang (approx. 20-22 km from Gunji) for Om Parvat darshan.
• Exploration: View the natural “Om” symbol formed by snow on the peak.
• Visit Vyas Gufa and the Kali Mata Temple at Kalapani.
• Afterwards, drive toward the Darma Valley to reach Dantu .
• Stay: Homestay in Dantu.
DAY 5: Dantu to Panchachuli Base Camp Trek
• Activity: A moderate trek (approx. 4-5 km) from Dantu/Dugtu village to the Panchachuli Base Camp.
• Exploration: Experience the grandeur of the five snow-capped peaks of Panchachuli at close range.
• Stay: Return to Dantu or Dugtu for the night.
DAY 6: Cultural Immersion in Filam Village
• Activity: Continue through the Darma Valley to Filam village.
• Exploration: Immerse yourself in the local Rung culture.
• Taste the traditional vine (local brew) often shared during village festivities or at specialized homestays.
• Stay: Local homestay in Filam.
DAY 7: Return to Pithoragarh and Local Exploration
• Activity: Drive back from the Darma Valley through Dharchula to Pithoragarh.
• Exploration: Visit Patal Bhuvaneshwar (limestone cave temple) on the way if time allows.
• In Pithoragarh, explore local markets for Kumaoni handicrafts.
• Stay: Hotel in Pithoragarh.
DAY 8: Journey Back to Meerut/Delhi with Optional Stops
• Activity: Final long drive back to Meerut.
• Exploration: Stop at Kainchi Dham or Jageshwar Dham if taking the Almora route to offer final prayers.
