The Gabladev Fair is a significant religious fair celebrated annually by the inhabitants of Darma Valley in the Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand. It is primarily observed by the people residing in villages such as Dantu, Go, Baun, Marcha, Dugat, Sela, Chal, Wing, Tidang, Saun, Dakar/Dhakar, Byaling, and Nagling. The fair fosters strong community bonds and provides an opportunity for villagers to come together, celebrate their heritage, and seek blessings. It’s a testament to the rich cultural and spiritual life of the Darma Valley.

Itinerary (18-23 Aug 2025)
DAY 1: PITHORAGARH TO DANTU EVENT INITIATION & AARTI
Arrive in the peaceful village of Dantu, where the valley gathers for a powerful tradition — the temple Aarti that marks the beginning of the Gabladev Fair. The mountains echo with chants, and the energy sets the tone for the days ahead.
DAY 2: VILLAGE JHANKI AND SPORTS ACTIVITY
Villagers from every corner — Baun, Go, Tidang, Nagling and more — dress in colors, play their instruments, and perform age-old dances. It’s a moving celebration of culture, unity, and the heartbeat of Darma.
DAY 3: SHORT HIKE AND LOCAL INTERACTION
Morning starts with fun sports and village games. Later, a short hike takes you to the Jasuli Devi temple, where you’ll hear the legend of the goddess who watches over the valley. Her story is carved in stone and carried in hearts.
DAY 4: SPORTS FINALE AND VILLAGE EXPLORATION
Walk ancient trails to Goe, Filam, Bon, and Dugtu — timeless villages filled with stories, laughter, and stunning views. Local games continue, blending the joy of community with the magic of the mountains.
DAY 5: PRIZE DISTRIBUTION & CELEBRATION PANCHACHULI BASE CAMP TREK
The biggest day! From volleyball to tug of war, the energy is high. Winners are celebrated, and the entire valley joins for a feast, dance, and music night.
You can even trek up to the Panchachuli Base Camp for a view you’ll never forget.
DAY 6: DANTU TO Pithoragarh
Leave behind the quiet charm of Dantu as you drive back through winding roads, pine forests, and river valleys towards Pithoragarh. A journey filled with memories, mountain air, and moments that stay.
